The University Council is a supervisory and control body of the university.

Responsibilities

It is, among others, responsible for electing a Rector, approving the Development Plan, the Organisational Plan and the Performance Agreement draft of the university along with the by-laws of the Rectorate,  issuing a statement on the curricula and the academic programmes not included in the Performance Agreement, approving the founding of societies and foundations and approving the Statement of Accounts, the Performance Report of the Rectorate and the Intellectual Capital Report and its submission to the federal ministry responsible.
