28.11.2022: The 3Rs principle (Replace-Reduce-Refine) guides the use of animals in research. In an article just published in the top journal “Science”, a team of scientists from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna proposes applying the 3Rs principle to animal farming as well, by simple and effective levers: protein replacement, consumption and waste reduction, and good animal husbandry.
