Endoscopy has been routinely used at Clinical Centre for Ruminant and Camelid Medicine for several years as a valuable adjunct to clinical examination. It allows visualization of surfaces in hollow organs, as well as quantitative assessment of changes.

In addition, the endoscopic examination technique permits tissue sampling under visualization. Minimally invasive surgical procedures are also possible with the aid of an endoscope.
