Our in-house document delivery service "Scan2You" creates electronical copies of journal articles and book chapters from our printed library collection and delivers them via e-mail.

Your request will be fulfilled within one working day.

If the required document is not available in our library you can order the journal article or book chapter via interlibrary loan.

Who can use this service?

Employees of the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna.

What types of documents can be ordered?

• Copies of journal articles, congress papers, etc.
• Copies of book chapters, chapters of university publications, etc.

How do I make a request?

Verify beforehand if the requested document is available in the university library by consulting our library search engine vetmed:seeker. Subsequently transfer the necessary bibliographic data to our Online-Order-Forms for book chapters or journal articles.

Be aware that due to copyright law restrictions you may only request one chapter or article at a time. The digitization of entire books / journals is not possible.

Journals and books already available in electronic format and the collections of the department libraries are excluded from this service.

How much does this service cost?

The university library offers this service free of charge.

How to get the document?

The requested document (PDF-Format) will be sent to you via E-Mail but solely to your university e-mail address!
