The experimental station offers the possibility of plant cultivation, e.g. for the botanical garden and for experiments that are carried out either in the field or as container experiments under controlled environmental conditions in the experimental station.
In addition, there are facilities for seed cleaning and seed processing on a laboratory or semi-technical scale.

Chamomile, sage, oregano, marjoram, hemp and cistus are currently in the experimental program.
The young plant cultivation for the botanical garden includes delphinium species, poppy species, angel's trumpet, foxglove species and annual herbs.
Various fragrant plants, aromatic herbs and specialties are grown for the garden day.
