Nutritional Physiology

As a branch of physiology, nutritional physiology focuses primarily on physical and biochemical processes in cells, tissues and organs of the intestinal tract, the role of the intestinal tract as the largest immune organ, as well as interactions between gut microbiome and the host animal considering its impact on the whole body.
