From structure and molecule to function

Within the framework of comparative medicine, the Center is dedicated to researching the molecular mechanisms of cell differentiation and renewal, cellular balance (homeostasis) and the development of diseases. Innovative biomodels are used to elucidate the genomic constellations and structures that underlie these molecular mechanisms. Omics technologies are used intensively to understand transitions between physiological and pathological processes and to develop targeted therapeutic interventions.
