Veterinary tissue engineering and regenerative medicine harnesses the body’s own regenerative capacities and ressources, such as stem cells and blood products, to optimize the cellular environment inside the patient’s body and to stimulate healing with the aim to induce regenerative healing and restore function of damaged or diseased tissues and organs.

Veterinary regenerative medicine holds great promise for future safe and effective treatments for many diseases and conditions and has successfully been applied clinically to treat tendon lesions and joint disease since 2003.
