Our ornithologists know exactly what it takes to protect endangered species. The ornithological station of the Vetmeduni with its branch in Seebarn am Wagram (Lower Austria) offers ornithological know-how as the basis for the “comeback” of the adorable little owl. After an analysis of the habitat, nesting boxes and daily stalls such as piles of stones are offered at selected places. This creates the basis for the creation of new territories.

Acquiring these crucial habitat elements costs money: every new little owl territory needs two nesting boxes and at least one day's shelter.
